In the course of the International Building Exhibition (IBA) Fürst-Pückler Land, regional partners and stakeholders developed scenarios and designs for the „Energy Landscape Lusatia“. Lenné3D was commissioned to create visual simulations of future energy landscapes in Lusatia or the Welzow Energy Landscape.
A landscape design concept for agro-forestry use of the landscape was simulated. This provides for a strip and group-like arrangement of the various utilisation structures and ecosystems. The simulations show, for example, the growth and harvesting of so-called alley-cropping areas or short-rotation plantations with different harvesting cycles. As an additional scenario, photovoltaic and wind energy plants were integrated as part of the energy landscape. The project was carried out in cooperation with hochC Landschaftsarchitektur and Prof. Horst Schumacher.
