The planning group „Project Wind Farm And/Ans“, consisting of the Liechtenstein Solar Cooperative, the Liechtenstein Power Plants and the Balzers Citizens‘ Cooperative, began planning the And/Ans wind farm in 2013. The site is located on Schweitzer territory, but close to Balzers, a town in the south of the Principality of Liechtenstein.
In the summer of 2016, Lenné3D was commissioned to create visualisations of the potential And/Ans wind farm and make them available on a project website that was also to be created. The website and the large number of visualised perspectives served as a sound basis of information for the public referendum held in spring 2017.
The visualisations were photo-based, with the classic focal length of 50mm. At the request of the clients, the rotors of the wind turbines were animated and the visualisations were made available online in an interactive before-and-after comparison. Due to the special local conditions, two locations were also visualised as interactive 360° panoramas.
Lenné3D was commissioned to create a comprehensive communication package: From the website with basic information and data, to the more than 20 animated visualisations, to a specially programmed interactive slider for the before and after comparison mentioned above. Viewers could move a slider over the film with the mouse and thus switch between the current and the simulated state.
